The Ask
Until Election Day, and after
The sentence is for the next fourteen days. The sorter does not expire on November 4. It is how the same officers and the same beds are used for the next two years. The Fine still waits on a statute.
Until Election Day
The Ask
Tell DHS to sort known files. People with a criminal record are removed sooner. Refusers move up the list. Point people who will leave to CBP Home. No status. No work card. No Fine collected. The sentence, not a statute.
After Election Day
The file keeps running
Same order for the next two years. A person with a criminal record uses the bed. The person who will leave stays on CBP Home. A family that files stays known. The child keeps one of three marks. No status by memo. The Fine, if it comes, comes in a statute. The sorter does not wait for it.
A sorter is an amplifier
It does not add a force, a benefit, or a second mission. It spends the officers and the beds you already have on the file you can already prove. That known file is what remigration acts on. The border stays the border. The interior stops being a search for whoever is nearest.
The bed
About 67,000 people are being held. A person with a criminal record uses that bed. A family that will leave does not.
The officer
A known file is not a street sweep. You stop spending a team to find someone who already chose a door.
The border
Nothing here moves a border officer inland. Clearing the picture is not the same as thinning the line.
Removals, from here to two years
These are published counts. The two-year figure holds the recent daily pace constant. It is not a forecast, and it is not a claim that this order creates a second set of removals.
| Formal removals, this year | 356,389 | ICE tally for fiscal year 2026 through July 11. Fiscal year 2025 was 319,980 on the same series. |
| If that pace held for two years | About 916,000 | About 1,255 removals a day across 284 days. Twenty-four months at that rate. Beds, flights, and orders would have to keep up. |
| Who is in custody | 70.6% with no conviction | Of 65,765 people detained as of July 11, 2026, in TRAC’s reading of ICE data. Not a September count. About 7 in 10 of them have no conviction. |
| The leave door | 132,000 gone | Project Homecoming through July 16, 2026, in DHS data reported by Axios. About 70,000 more were enrolled. Axios, citing DHS, put a departure from custody at 17 days, against about 50. |
| What this order adds | The same beds, a different person | A person with a conviction is housed first. A person who will leave is sent to CBP Home before a bed is used. No second removal total is claimed. |
Three marks for the child. Not a status.
Do not build a new category. Mark the child with three facts the government already has: where they were born, whether they are under 18, and whether a parent is the respondent. The mark keeps them off a second case. It gives them nothing.
Citizen
Born here
Already a citizen. Trump v. Barbara, June 30, 2026. Pew counted about 4.6 million U.S.-born children living with an unauthorized parent in 2023. Not a removal case. Do not list them.
Companion
Foreign-born, under 18, parent is the respondent
Not a separate target. Under INA §212(a)(9)(B)(iii), time under 18 does not count toward the 3- and 10-year bars. Mark the child as a companion, not as the respondent. The mark ends at 18.
Unaccompanied
Foreign-born, under 18, no parent in the file
Already a different statute and a different agency track. Do not fold them into the family sorter.
01
Do not call it amnesty
No status, work card, or benefit from this page or from an executive memo. Statute first for any path to stay.
02
Plug into CBP Home
Door 2 is Project Homecoming. Do not stand up a rival leave app.
03
The teeth are priority, not a new crime
Failure to choose a door is not a new crime. It moves the person up the removal list now. On the path, three missed payments end it. A cured miss still counts. The third, unpaid after thirty days, is removal under existing law.
04
Families only. A criminal record is out.
The qualifying class is a family with no disqualifying crime. That is the public case, and it is what enforcement can actually run.
05
No personal data on this page
This page stores nothing. A real portal is a government system with FedRAMP, biometrics, and counsel.
06
Do not file The Bill before November 3
The weeks before November 3, spent defending $177,600, are a mailer for both sides. Message now. Statute after the election.
07
OLC / DHS / DOJ / Treasury
Sorter now, with existing discretion. The Fine, the bars, adjustment, year 9, and service only in a statute.
Current DHS vs this add-on
| Item | DHS now | This add-on |
|---|---|---|
| Amnesty | None | None — and none by app |
| Leave door | CBP Home + exit bonus | Same door |
| Stay door | No paid path to status | Only if Congress writes it |
| Who is removed sooner | People with criminal records, security threats, recent illegal presence | Those, plus known refusers and defaulters |
| Children | Not a legal shield | Not the offender, not a shield |
